A six-week class for English Springer Spaniels and
Cockers
of approximately 6 – 18 months old.
Beginning in early April
This weekly class will get young dogs ready for introduction to birds and field work. Includes socialization, yard and ground work, and steadying for retrieves. Dogs that successfully complete this course will be steady to whistle, gun, and thrown dummies and traps. Our goal is that upon successfully completing the course, handlers should be in a position to introduce their dogs to flighted birds and have them be steadied without using a collar and with a minimum of corrections. Participants will be expected to continue with training between sessions during the week.

Meets each Thursday evening at Dr. Bob Bullard’s home (6 miles South of Hillsboro).
Class cost is $50 per person/dog team.
